Introduction: Meet a Case Manager

What Does a Case Manager Do?

Intervention Drug Rehab Association’s case managers are the backbone of our addiction treatment programs. These men and women are responsible for our clients from intake until their addiction recovery program at our drug rehab center comes to an end. When a client first enrolls at Intervention Drug Rehab Association, our case managers facilitate a set of assessments and evaluations. With the client’s responses, our case managers are able to recommend an accurate length of treatment for each individual’s addiction history. Our treatment lengths span from 30 to 60 or 90 days, depending on the client’s severity of substance abuse. Throughout the course of treatment, our case managers are responsible for evaluating whether every aspect of each client’s addiction recovery program is effective and useful. We encourage our clients to be candid with their case managers about any aspects of their treatment plan that they would like to change during their stay at our drug rehab.

Meet May!

May A. is one of Intervention Drug Rehab Association’s newest case managers. She comes to us from the state of Colorado, where she worked as a house manager for an addiction treatment facility in Durango. A member of the 2010 graduating class from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, May received her BA in Psychology, magna cum laude. A first generation college student, May was involved with student government and held a work-study position in the school library. Witnessing her aunt’s addiction to prescription pills inspired May to seek her degree and a position in the field of addiction and recovery. Currently, May lives with her cousin and her dog, Osito. Her favorite television shows are Dr. Who, Vampire Diaries, and Orange is the New Black. When May isn’t hard at work with her clients, she enjoys reading, camping, photography, and attending live music shows. In the fall, May will be starting night classes to work toward her Master’s degree. It is her goal to one day be a facility director.

What Does Intervention Offer?

Intervention Drug Rehab Association’s highly effective addiction recovery programs have made a positive difference in the lives of countless individuals. Now we want to extend the same offer of help to the person you care about or even you, yourself. In accordance with our dual diagnosis plans, our staff works together at identifying and treating both the psychological and physical facets of each client’s disease. This produces a higher rate of recovery compared to just detoxification alone. All of our addiction treatment programs are fully customizable for each client’s needs and substance abuse history.

Treatment always begins with a clinically managed detox. This allows you to undergo the detoxification process in a comfortable and safe manner. Following a successful detox, you will live with others in recovery at one of our luxurious housing accommodations. Here, you will have the chance to build a sober network of support as you participate in group therapy, attend off-site group activities, and incorporate positive coping mechanisms into your daily routine. Enroll with Intervention Drug Rehab Association and start down the path to recovery with a case manager like May.
